Telecommunications  Analyst II (Financial)

Job Description
Responsibilities: Above all ensure the timely and accurate processing of all Telecom related invoices prior to approval by Director of Telecommunications (includes managing disputes, credits, & adjustments).

1. Must take ownership and be primarily responsible for managing the “Telecommunications Voice/Data Forecast” report.  This includes ensuring identifying the impact of any changes to our communications infrastructure on a proactive basis.
2. Ensuring full compliance with financial policy
3. Acting as primary billing liaison with all Telecommunication vendors.
4. Manage complete inventory (includes new purchases, returns and exchanges) for all wireless devices.  This includes pagers, cell phones, Blackberry devices, wireless LAN PCCards, etc.
5. Good working knowledge of LEC / IXC billing systems and practices.
6. Closely monitor Frame Relay network for financial efficiency.  This includes working with the Provisioning Analyst to ensure all PVC’s are set correctly to minimize any bursting costs, as well as, ensuring proper credit is received for any disconnects/adjustments.
7. Closely monitor our voice traffic (inbound/outbound) to ensure compliance with our negotiated tariff agreements.  This includes monitor “Least Cost Routing” tables on all company PBX’s.
8. Activity download, analysis, and archive call details records.
9. Work and interface with IT departmental heads to facilitate the ongoing progress and improvement of the telecommunications billing system.
10. Maybe on call as a backup to the Telecommunications Provisioning Analyst II

Qualifications: BA/BS in finance, accounting, business, MIS or equivalent work experience.

1. 1-3 years of cost/financial analysis experience in telecom industry
2. Aggressive self-starter willing to put forth extra effort to find cost saving opportunities.
3. Very strong analytical and problem solving skills
4. Strong interpersonal communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
5. Expert use of MS Excel & Access
6. Experience provisioning of voice & data circuits a plus

Reports To:         Director, Telecommunications

Hours:                  9AM-6PM Monday – Friday*

                              This position may be requested to be on-call
