The Core Applications Services group encompasses the systems, applications and processes responsible for order management, fulfillment and delivery for and its subsidiary brands.

Job Overview
As Team Lead in the Core Applications group, this person will work closely with the Senior Manager to design, implement, and maintain the latest J2EE order management and warehouse management solutions for the entire enterprise.  Along with the Senior Manger, the candidate will work with a team of highly skilled professionals that are dedicated to this strategic initiative.  The candidate will also be responsible for working closely with the software vendor on development tasks, production support issues, and software enhancements.

Job Description

• Works with Senior Manager to design, develop, and implement an enterprise order management and warehouse management solution.
• Implement and support WebSphere 5.1 and WebSphere 6.0 on Linux systems and MQ Series 5.1.
• Troubleshoot the day-to-day software problems within the application’s environment.
• Maintain and revise technical documentation, including disaster recovery and infrastructure documents.
• Serve as the technical contact for our 3rd party vendors.
• WebSphere 5.1 and 6.0 administration/support experience required
• Actively develop solutions and/or provide production support on an as needed basis.

Technical Skills

• 3 years WebSphere administration, tuning, and
• 3 years MQ Series administration / JMS / messaging
• 5 years J2EE development
• 5 years software design
• Experience with implementing and optimizing Apache web server needed
• Experience with capacity planning, systems performance analysis and application tuning/optimization would be a plus
• Prior implementation experience with order management or warehouse management solutions needed.
• Experience with configuring Yantra’s order management and warehouse management solutions a plus.
• Working knowledge of industry standard development practices and concepts (OO, J2EE, EJB, JMS, Servlets/JSP, MVC, Design Patterns, Relational DB Design, XML, XSLT, SOA, Web Services)

Soft Skills

• The ability to determine which technical solution best fits a given scenario.
• Solid, real world database design skills.
• Desire to mentor and train developers in software design and development techniques.
• Ability to manage the design and development of several concurrent projects.
• Excellent communication skills.
